Bread Share Program

COMMUNITY SUPPORTED BAKERY INITIATIVE Joining our Community Supported Bakery Initiative means that you, as a member, are helping to support the growth of our mission: to increase the availability of locally made and sustainably grown products year round. Subscriptions include 50 weeks of BREAD (one loaf per week), delivered or picked up weekly at any of our pick up locations at a price well below our retail level. Members receive 20% off all bakery purchases Memberships begin in March 2011. Proceeds from subscriptions will be placed in a separate bank account and used to finance the construction of a bakery, processing kitchen and veggie/CSA packing facility in Leelanau County.

To further support the initiative you can opt to purchase a BRICK with the inscription of your choosing that will be used on the facade of our wood-fired oven. BRICK PRICING $250 Our bread share program is kind of like being in a BREAD OF THE WEEK CLUB. It´s simple. The baker chooses the bread du jour, and you pick up on your scheduled pick up day.

By paying in advance, you help sustain our farm and bakery by guaranteeing a market for our product. This allows us to give you great bread at a price well below what you would typically pay in a retail situation. It also shortens the distance between producer and consumer, strengthening our community both socially and economically.

We offer winter, spring, summer or fall memberships as well as YEAR ROUND membersips (50 weeks). Each year long membership has a per-loaf cost ($3.25), and the added benefit of 20% discounts on all other bakery purchases.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A BAKERY

We have a MEMBERSHIP GOAL for 2011 of 200 members. If we meet this goal we will be on the road to building our own wood-fired oven bakery.
